Glowpunk would like to help the homeless. I need help to develop a website.It would work by using a world wide satellite mapping system not unlike google. (perhaps google will help)
If we know who is where and a little about them then we can help them.
First we must recognize that there are many homeless people who are happy with out help but many who would be happy with help.
The help we would OFFER would not have to be financial if it all.
There is an option for a holistic approach, where by a user moderated user driven site would allow the online settled "community" (a little like wikipedia) to grow and perfect the site over time.
Basically Glowpunk would like to document and map the homeless. Although many homeless people move around, many maintain residence in a fixed location.
People could in theory go on line and look at a map and find the usual residing place of their nearest homeless person and see the details of that person, a little like a Facebook page although obviously more tailored to their needs, It would be possible to see what this homeless person requires to better their life. whether they need food, clean water, shelter,help with legal documents, clothing, medication, or a person to talk to. informing people in their area of their lives and allowing people to understand better why the person is there at this point in their lives and how they can help them get where they want to be. Easy. just need help. It could revolutionize the lives of millions of homeless. and this is only the tip of the idea. Anyone know how to make this happen. or more importantly like to help?
